How does cardiac cell therapy work?
How do our cardiac cell therapies work?
Transplanted cells are hypothesized to benefit the heart through established pathways, accelerating the body’s natural healing process.
CardiAMP® Cell Therapy: Transplanted cells promote enhanced capillary density and reduce fibrosis as demonstrated in preclinical research and are believed to underlie the positive results in clinical trials to date. Clinical results from four trials in ischemic cardiomyopathies of this investigational therapy have shown trends of reduced mortality, reduced major adverse cardiac events, improved quality of life, improved functional capacity based on how far a patient can walk, and improved left ventricular ejection fraction.
CardiALLO™ and PulmALLO™ Cell Therapies act by providing immunomodulatory benefits in inflammatory disease substrates. A clinical trial in inflammatory ischemic heart failure is ongoing and a clinical trial has been approved to begin by FDA in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome.
